Learn About Qingming Festival
China’s Qingming Festival, which is also called Tomb Sweeping Day, is observed by families across the world, in countries like Taiwan, China, and Hong Kong.
Similar to the Mexican holiday Dia de los Muertos, this festival celebrates life as well as honors those who have passed. Yesterday people gathered at family graves with food, tea, kites, and joss paper, or “spirit money.” It’s a beautiful tradition, filled with remembrance and hope.
