About the Role

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting all offline and online paid advertising channels to meet company acquisition and cost efficiency goals. This role is vital to ensuring Little Passports continues to grow our subscriber base, by testing new channels and scaling existing opportunities. The Marketing Coordinator reports to the Director of Customer Acquisition and works cross functionally to ensure a high-quality customer experience. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail oriented and excited to build our subscriber base.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the success of marketing campaigns by providing detail-oriented, fast-paced support for key acquisition channels.
  • Manage daily reporting and track key performance metrics; own communication to the team and executives on performance, insights and opportunities.
  • Liaise with analytics, utilizing data analytics to inform campaign planning and optimization.
  • Support and optimize several paid media channels including: DRTV, Facebook, SEM, Pinterest, Podcast, Print, Direct Mail, etc. to acquire customers as cost efficiently as possible.
  • Maintain agency and media partner relationships to secure best in class opportunities.
  • Manage advertising budgets and invoices, track spend, submit approved invoices and own communication with Finance and paid media vendors for timely & accurate payment.
  • Partner on creative development, photo shoots and TV production to ensure projects on time and budget.
  • Proactively identify and troubleshoot issues in complex digital marketing programs.
  • Remain informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, competitors and industry best practices. Send biweekly summaries to the marketing team and stakeholders.
Candidate Profile and Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 1-2+ years of proven experience in direct response marketing for consumer brands; preferably in an e-commerce environment, advertising agency, or start-up
  • Demonstrated ability to define clear, measurable strategies and follow-through to implementation and measurement
  • Experience in media buying a plus
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional Excel, data analysis, and data manipulation skills
  • Highly organized and self-directed with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Self-driven but comfortable working with a small, collaborative team

You will report directly to the Head of Operations and help drive all day-to-day aspects of operations, from order fulfillment and shipping, to tracking and reporting on key operational metrics, to customer service.

You’re someone who is resourceful, quick on their feet, highly detail-oriented, takes initiative, and takes great joy in delighting customers. You must be extremely flexible and comfortable working with ambiguity and enjoy a “high change” environment where priorities shift from day to day. You must also possess strong analytical and quantitative skills.

Responsibilities
  • Help drive all day-to-day aspects of operations and order fulfillment
  • Partner closely with our fulfillment warehouse and third party providers to ensure operational excellence
  • Manage order fulfillment and shipping timelines, plan capacity, provide forecasts and manage daily operations with third party providers
  • Provide superior service by exceeding customer expectations for quality product and on-time delivery
  • Drive improvements to daily processes to support a rapidly growing volume of orders
  • Develop and communicate reporting and analytics on key operational metrics
  • Partner closely with Customer Service, Product, and Marketing on ongoing and new initiatives
  • Train on all aspects of customer service and help answer customer service inquiries during peak periods
  • We are a start-up so candidate must be willing to wear multiple hats, be flexible and pitch in whenever and wherever needed to help get the job done. We love people who are excited to get involved where needed!
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of previous operations, logistics, fulfillment, or supply chain experience, preferably in ecommerce
  • Experience working in start-up or other fast-paced high-growth environment
  • Extremely detail-oriented and organized, with strong time management skills and ability to multi-task
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience in contract negotiation and vendor management
  • Highly-motivated self-starter with a “get it done,” positive attitude
  • Strong problem solving skills and a natural talent for process improvement – you see the gaps and you love working out how to fix them
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
  • High level of comfort and proficiency with Excel
  • Bachelor’s degree (majors in Economics, Business, or Operations Management a plus), MBA/MA/MS a plus
  • Experience with ERP systems a plus
  • Previous people management experience a plus
